Taken the plunge!

Well I've finally taken the plunge and started a blog!

I must be mad?? ( no don't answer that lol )

I hope to keep you all updated on the new products and special offers available as well as the ups and downs of a busy online retailer

ummm where to start? ok so my name is Michelle and I run http://www.heavenlyjewellery.co.uk/ an online retail shop specialising in Me to You (Tatty Teddy) bears we also stock Gund, Forever Friends, Gold, Silver & Children's Jewellery, Shearer candles, Eeyore, Spaceform Wedding Jewellery & Accessories and so much more.....

We are an established business that was first started in 1998, we started party planning, then moved onto the markets eventually in 1999 producing our own website - in those days we were known as J & M Giftware, I then came accross fsauctions - Anyone remember them?? and then moved to QXL and eventually in 2000 to ebay, we still sell on ebay although not to the extent that we used too, and in September last year we became a retailer on Amazon.

Up until 2005 the business was part time as I had a "normal" job but when my 2nd child was born I decided to take the plunge and become full time and have never looked back, I love working for myself although it can be a bit scary knowing that if you don't work you wont get paid (Inserts a shocked face here)

so anyway back to the present, so where do we plan to take the business now?

Well it has always been my wish to have my own little shop, but in the current climate I have decided to put that on the back burner for now, but once my youngest is at school full time I will start to think about it more seriously, in the meantime we are planning to expand our product range and maybe open up a new website specialising in teddy bears, there's lots of ideas spinning around in my head at the minute so who knows what we decide......watch this space :-)
